PALO ALTO HISTORIC
The home was built in 1904 for lumber baron Walter Tobey and is a classic architectural gem, designed by Walter Bliss of Bliss and Faville and is considered a Historic property by the City of Palo Alto. The architects designed many notable Bay Area historic landmark buildings.

The main home has 6821 SF, and consists of four stories which include on the main level, a formal entry, formal living room, dining room, kitchen, butlers kitchen, kitchen nook and family room that opens fully to the outdoor deck. The 2nd floor has a full laundry room, family den, two full bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and a luxurious primary suite with a large walk in closet, and double vanity bathroom with soaking tub and marble tiled shower. These main floors have 10’ high ceilings.

The lower level has a home theater, wine room, office, full bath and gym.

The top floor is used for games, and family gatherings with friends, and this level has a TV area, bar, and full bathroom.
This home also features a carriage house (once used for horses) that now doubles as a gathering place, as well as an additional dwelling unit for guests.

The exterior of the home had to remain intact and all new windows had to match existing in order to comply with the historic boards requirements.

The interior was designed by Mary Jo Fiorella and her team, at Fiorella Design, LLC, and the goal was to create a stunning nod to the historic relevance of the homes history, while allowing the young modern family the comforts of living in today's lifestyle. They wanted the home to feel bright and elegant, where they felt proud to share with family and friends.
